Today’s post is a writing challenge. This is how it works: participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.
At the end of this post you’ll find links to the other blogs featuring this challenge. Check them all out, see what words they got and how they used them.

Such great words…I needed time to think about this one! Of course all I could think about was the books I read that could be associated with these words.
I know, I’m book obsessed.
Recently I finished reading Closing In by Sue Fortin. Helen/Ellen is running from/hiding from her abusive boyfriend. She found a job as nanny for a man that appears to be a criminal psychologist.
I was all psyched for a nail biting suspense, but sadly it was predictable to me. The author gave a huge clue away at the beginning and I knew right away how it would end..and I was correct. Want more info on the review go here.
A recent book I read was On Second Thought Kristan Higgins. Ainsley was the second wife to Nate, who unexpectedly died. Through her tragedy and her sister’s tragedy of being dumped by her douche waffle, jack ass boyfriend, they become dear friends. Want my full review, click here
Okay, I’ll take a break from books and talk about how I am trying to follow a more minimalistic lifestyle. With stress and feeling out of control I’m barely getting by. Therefore knowing that having less will make room for peace and control, I know what I have to do. Though it’s a bit difficult when your husband and son like to collect everything and anything. I’m on my way, but have to take it slow.
I have started with part of the living room, my closet, and Bookworm Boy’s room. I will be starting a minimalism series and show my progress as I go. The first post can be read HERE. If it were up to me and money was no problem I would hire a huge dumpsters and throw it all out in one day. Waking up at sunrise with clutter and going to bed at sunset with a minimally filled home would be a dream come true.
What are you working on or towards this summer?
